The General Office of the Ministry of Transport ("MOT") has recently distributed the System of Transport and Logistics Standards (2018) (the "System of Standards").
The System of Standards covers standards intended for the fields of transport, highways and waterways, and includes both existing national standards and industry standards and those to be introduced in the future. Standards covered under the system are yardsticks directly related to transport and logistics facilities and equipment, transport operations, service management, information construction, among other activities. According to the Principles and Requirements for the Building of Systems of Standards and based on essential elements of and management procedures for transport and logistics activities, the System of Standards is organized into five parts which are entitled "100 Logistics Basic Standards", "200 Logistics Facilities and Equipment Standards", "300 Transport Operations Standards", "400 Logistics Service and Management Standards" and "500 Logistics Informatization Standards" and consists of a total of 182 standards which specifically are 23 logistics basic standards, 55 logistics facilities and equipment standards, 56 transport operations standards, 20 logistics service and management standards, and 28 logistics informatization standards.
