The Department of Occupational Health of the National Health Commission ("NHC") has recently issued the Circular on Putting the New "Application System for Projects with Occupational Hazards" into Use (the "Circular").
The Circular reads that with a view to ensuring the smooth and orderly transition from the old system to the new one, it is decided to officially put into use the new "Application System for Projects with Occupational Hazards" at midnight on August 22, 2019, and the previous "Application and Record-filing System of Occupational Hazards on the Operation Sites" will fall into disuse at midnight on August 31, 2019. Further, the Circular expounds on account distribution, data connection and operating procedures, clearly stating that for the convenience of data sharing within the system, each provincial-level unit will be given three accounts, and the account allocated to the department in charge of administration of occupational health has the entire administration authority, including examination, approval and searching. According to the Circular, information on applications filed by employers in the previous "Application and Record-filing System of Occupational Hazards on the Operation Sites" has all been migrated to the new application system, and employers having filed applications in such system do not need to file applications again.
