The Securities Law of the People's Republic of China, which was revised and adopted at the 15th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 13th National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China on December 28, 2019, is hereby promulgated for implementation as of March 1, 2020.

Chapter I General Provisions

Article 1 The Law is enacted for the purposes of regulating the issuance and trading of securities, protecting the lawful rights and interests of investors, safeguarding the social and economic order and social and public interests, and promoting the development of the socialist market economy.

Article 2 The Law is applied to the issuance and trading of stocks, corporate bonds, depository receipts and other securities lawfully recognized by the State Council within the territory of the People's Republic of China.
