To the Shanghai Municipal Financial Administration, the Shanghai Municipal Administration of State Taxation, the Shenzhen Municipal Financial Administration, the Shenzhen Municipal office of State Taxation, the Shanghai Stock Exchange, and the Shenzhen Stock Exchange:

Based upon the approval of the State Council, it has been decided that the stamp tax rate of securities (stock) transaction shall be readjusted as of January 24, 2005.
