The Decision of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress on Amending the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Administration of Urban Real Estate adopted at the 29th Session of the Standing Committee of the 10th National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China on August 30, 2007 is now hereby issued and is effective as of the date of issueance.

Appendix: Decision of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress on Amending the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Administration of Urban Real Estate

The following amendment has been made to the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Administration of Urban Real Estate at the 29th Session of the Standing Committee of the 10th National People's Congress:

A new Article 6 is added to Chapter One General Provisions to read: "The state may expropriate the units and individual premises on state-owned land for public interests and grant demolition and relocation compensation in accordance with the law to protect the lawful rights and interests of the party subject to the collection.
