Interpretation of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress on Articles 228, 342, and 410 of the Criminal Law of the People's Republic of China

Concerning the meaning of "violation of land administration law" stipulated in Articles 228, 342 and 410 of the Criminal Law, and the meaning of "unlawful sanction to expropriation and impropriation of land" in
article 410 of the Criminal Law, the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress has made discussions and interpretations as follows:
"Violation of land administration law" stipulated in Articles 228, 342 and 410 of the Criminal Law refers to the violation of the provisions in relation to land administration in the land administration law, forestry law, grassland law and other laws and administrative regulations.
"Unlawful sanction to expropriation and impropriation of land" stipulated in
Article 410 of the Criminal Law refers to unlawful sanction to expropriation and impropriation of agricultural lands including cultivated land, woodland and other lands.
The above interpretations are hereby promulgated.
