Guangdong Customs and Other Customs directly under the General Administration of Customs:

Pursuant to the Circular of the Ministry of Finance and the State Administration of Taxation on Adjusting the Consumption Rates of Certain Import Commodities (Cai Shui [2001] No.153), with approval from the State Council, the adjustments on the consumption duties of the cigarettes, drinks, soaps and tires came into effect as of September 1, 2001. Please publicize the adjustments. Details on the announcement are hereby given in the attachment.

Through the adjustments, some commodities underwent considerable changes in consumption duties.
