Recently, the Department of Building Energy Conservation and Science & Technology under the Ministry of Housing and Urban-rural Development ("MOHURD") has released the Announcement of Technologies for the Promotion and Application of Green Construction (Draft for Comment) (the "Draft for Comment") to solicit comments from the entities concerned before August 30, 2017.
The Draft for Comment comprises 79 technologies in 11 categories, such as technologies for the subgrade and foundation engineering, information technologies, and construction facilities, and respectively provides for main technical performances of each technology, construction essentials, applicable conditions and scope, effects of green construction and application requirements in this regard. In terms of the technology used to recycle and use non-conventional water resources, for example, the section of main technical performances and construction essentials specifies that reservoirs, circulation water tanks and facilities for collecting rainwater and letting it subside could be used to collect and store rainwater, underground water and other types of recyclable water, and such recyclable water collected could be consumed on the construction site, thus creating benefits of water conservation and the recycle of water resources; also, a guide should be worked out to direct the application and implementation of such technology.
