The Ministry of Commerce ("MOFCOM") has decided to adjust the anti-dumping tax rate applicable to imported alloy-steel seamless tubes and pipes used for high-temperature compression that originate from the United States and the European Union, effective from June 14, 2019, according to a recent MOFCOM Announcement [2019] No.24.
According to the announcement, as stated in the Announcement [2019] No.20 released by the MOFCOM on May 9, 2019, a decision has been made to initiate an expiry review investigation of the anti-dumping measure on the imported alloy-steel seamless tubes and pipes used for high temperature compression that originate from the United States and the European Union, and the products concerned are listed under the tariff codes 73045110, 73045190, 73045910 and 73045990 in the Tariff Schedule of the People's Republic of China for Imports and Exports. The announcement adds that, the MOFCOM concludes that the said imported alloy-steel seamless tubes and pipes originating from the United States and the European Union were indeed dumped during the period covered by the expiry review investigation. Therefore, it is decided in the announcement that the anti-dumping tax rate applicable to the imported alloy-steel seamless tubes and pipes used for high-temperature compression that originate from the United States and the European Union, is adjusted to vary between 57.9% and 147.8%, according to the findings of the expiry review investigation.
