Recently, the Department of Standard Quota under the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development has released the Consumption Quotas for Green Building Construction (Draft for Comment) (the "Draft for Comment") and the Consumption Quotas for Industrialized Building Construction (Draft for Comment) for comments from relevant entities by August 20.
The Draft for Comment applies to the building construction projects whose design, construction and acceptance is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the national Code for Evaluation of Green Building Construction, and consists of five chapters, namely, land conservation and outdoor environment, energy conservation and utilization, water conservation and water resources utilization, materials saving and material resources utilization, and indoor environmental engineering. Specifically, in the chapter of energy conservation and utilization, there are 270 quota items under four sections, namely, the building and peripheral structures, efficient cold and heat source equipment, energy-saving lighting and electric, as well as comprehensive use of energy; and in the chapter of water conservation and water resources utilization, there are 33 quota items under three sections, namely, installation of water saving sanitary fixtures, water-saving irrigation, and installation of collection and treatment equipment for rainwater and recycled water.
