The State Administration of Taxation ("SAT") has recently issued the Announcement on Adjusting Matters Concerning the Filing of Value-added Tax Returns (the "Announcement"), with effect from June 1, 2018.
According to the Announcement, item names of Column 1, Column2, Column 4a and Column 4b of the Schedule (I) to the Value-added Tax Return (Breakdown of the Current Sales) in Appendix I to the Announcement of the State Administration of Taxation [2017] No.19 are adjusted to be "goods and processing, repair and fitting services subject to the 16% tax rate", "services, real estate and intangible assets subject to the 16% tax rate", "goods and processing, repair and fitting services subject to the 10% tax rate" and "services, real estate and intangible assets subject to the 10% tax rate". Meanwhile, taxpayers are no longer required to fill out relevant rows under Column 3 "13% tax rate". Also, the Announcement adjusts item names of Column 1 and Column 2 of the Schedule (III) to the Value-added Tax Return (Breakdown of Deductions for Services, Real Estate and Intangible Assets) in Appendix I to the Announcement of the State Administration of Taxation [2016] No.13 to be "items subject to the 16% tax rate" and "items subject to the 10% tax rate".
