Order of the State Intellectual Property Office on the Release of the Implementing Procedures for the Examination of Patent Agents Qualification

The Implementing Procedures for the Examination of Patent Agents Qualification, which were formulated in accordance with the Patent Law of the People's Republic of China and the Regulations on Patent Agency, are hereby promulgated and shall come into effect as of April 1, 2004.

Implementing Procedures for the Examination of Patent Agents Qualification
　
Article 1 With the goal of streamlining the examination for patent agents qualification (hereinafter referred to as EPAQ), the present Measures are formulated in accordance with the Patent Law of the People's Republic of China and the Regulations on Patent Agency.
　
Article 2 The EPAQ shall be a national unified qualifying exam and shall be held once every other year.
　
Article 3 The EPAQ shall consist of the following subjects:
1. The basic knowledge of law related to patent;
2. The writing of patent application documents;
3. The patent application, examination and approval procedures and documentation search; and
4.
