All market participants,
In order to regulate the subscription and redemption of exchange traded funds and meet the capital allocation needs of specific institutional investors, the Shanghai Stock Exchange (hereinafter referred to as the "SSE") has revised, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Implementing Rules of the Shanghai Stock Exchange on Exchange Traded Funds (Revised in 2020), the relevant provisions of the Guidelines on the Participation of Specific Institutional Investors in the Subscription and Redemption of Exchange Traded Funds and adjusted the title of the rules to the Guidelines on the Participation of Specific Institutional Investors in the Subscription and Redemption of Securities Investment Funds. The newly revised and formed Guidelines on the Participation of Specific Institutional Investors in the Subscription and Redemption of Securities Investment Funds (see the Appendix for details) are hereby promulgated and shall come into force as of the date of promulgation.
The Circular on Promulgating the Guidelines on the Participation of Specific Institutional Investors in the Subscription and Redemption of Exchange Traded Funds (Shang Zheng Hui Zi [2012] No.225) issued by the SSE on November 20, 2012 shall be repealed at the same time.
Notification is hereby made.
Guidelines on the Participation of Specific Institutional Investors in the Subscription and Redemption of Securities Investment Funds
Article 1 In order to regulate and guide specific institutional investors' participation in the subscription and redemption of securities investment funds (hereinafter referred to as "Fund Subscription and Redemption") of the Shanghai Stock Exchange (hereinafter referred to as the "SSE"), these Guidelines are hereby formulated in accordance with the Implementing Rules of the Shanghai Stock Exchange on Exchange Traded Funds, the Guidelines of the Shanghai Stock Exchange on Gold Exchange Traded Securities Investment Funds and other relevant provisions.
